Between 5-9 June 2023, Corina Andone and Menno Reijven from the ACLC thematic group PERSUADE, together with Sara Greco (Univesity of Italian Switzerland, Lugano), Marianne Doury (Univesité Paris Cité) and Kati Hannken-Illjes (Philipps Universität Marburg), are organizing  at the Lorentz Centre in Leiden an international workshop on qualitative methods in argumentation studies. The goal of this workshop is to develop comprehensive conceptualizations and explanations of the core principles of qualitative research in the field of argumentation studies. The objective of bringing together scholars in qualitative research in the field is to start these discussions, make explicit our methodological foundations, and ultimately work towards a handbook on this neglected topic.
